Most of these pictures are from two weeks ago. I'm not a very diligent blogger. Sorry.
I did take out about 6 baskets worth of tot tools for this week. I've realized though, that 6 is not enough for a single day. At 1+1+1=1, Carisa seems to re-use her Tot trays for a whole 3 days in the week. I'd like to do that. I've considered the Work Box system of laying things out for him, we'll see how that goes. Probably in the fall when we start our preschool work, I'll do that work box system for both my kids. I don't have the space to keep many Tot baskets, so I guess I'll just make do with what we have for space and just try to be more creative. The temporary system is working fine for now. I am not really schooling right now anyways because of renovations, summer heat and pregnancy (only 2 weeks left, hopefully).
The items that I laid out for him caught his interest.
Magnets and paper clips were a hit.
Painting outside with one of those ready to go painting books that you just brush with water.
I bought a little 2-sided dry erase board, he really likes it. I think he feels like a big boy like brother. He calls it "doing school".
I can't remember if he made the letter "M" or "W" or both.
I love his ROBOT.
We had recently watched Wall-E the movie, so I think this is from the movie.
This past week was chock full of nothing. ahaha. Kidding.
I took the kids out of town to my parents for a few days and spent time with my brothers family, which was nice.
We didn't really do any school either.
Playing LEGO indoors and water play outdoors has been what we've been doing for the past four days.
The water park was a blast on Thursday.
Today while I'm typing the kids are outside playing in the kiddy pool.
THE JOYS OF SUMMER!
The host of TOT SCHOOL is 1+1+1=1.
I like the idea of eraser board - an easy way to try writing. And I will also keep the thoughts of magnets and paper clips in mind - we have plenty of both in our house. Thank you for sharing.
